With a vital message of health and well-being, Project TIES joined one of Puerto Rico’s most important cultural events: Las Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián (SanSe).

More than 2,000 people visited the Project TIES booth, receiving information about available HIV treatment services while enjoying the music and festive atmosphere. The Project TIES space was not only an information point but also a place for interaction and memories. The booth featured a Photo Booth, allowing hundreds of attendees to capture a special moment of the festivities—leaving with both knowledge and a keepsake from the experience. This initiative helped foster closer dialogue in a large-scale setting, demonstrating that health education can be integrated creatively and effectively into mass events.

From Project TIES, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who stopped by to learn more about the project and the invaluable work of our sub-recipients, who were also present at the booth: CEMI, Centro Ararat, Estancia Corazón, Prepven, and Programa SIDA. Their collaboration strengthens our commitment to continue promoting HIV awareness and collective well-being. This SanSe experience reaffirmed that, through purposeful collaboration and education, we can build more informed and healthier communities—while still celebrating Puerto Rican culture.

Below, we share some of the images we took from this cultural experience:
